Hello Everybody
I had this on my site long time back, and was just going through my old files and found this. It’s really cool.

Look at the blue dots in the middle of the picture above for 45 seconds then tilt your head back and close your eyes or look at a white wall. What do you see?
In the past 2 years the internet has grown tremendously, much of the growth in usage is due to fast ADSL/broadband connections being readily available.
The internet is now finally being categorised in the same league as TV, newspapers and radio. I believe the internet provides amazing marketing opportunities for businesses to grow and expand. It is clear that large companies are realising the power of the internet. Now it is very common to see advertisements of companies such as Kellogs, Ford, Chrysler on the internet. 2 years back this would never have been the case.
And of course for a business to have a website is absolutely crucial. These days if a business does not have a website they are most probably missing out on customers that their competitors are taking. Apart from this when a potential customer knows you have awebsite it gives the impression of the business being large and professional.
Many small businesses that do have websites do not use their website to its full potential. Generally a small business will get a website designed and pretty much forget about it. Some businesses regard websites like business cards, which you just give to people to help contact you. This approach is very much underestimating the ability of a website to bring in new customers. Websites should be actively promoted to the target audience, these can be done through a variety of relatively inexpensive ways. Search engines undoubtedly provide the most targetted advertising method. For example a firm (WidgetWorld) selling widgets in Perth could target people living in Perth who search for the term widgets. So when someone in Perth searches for widgets on say Google an advertisement for WidgetWorld will come up. And the best bit is that the business will only pay on a per click basis, that means if no-one visits your website you don’t pay anything. THis is the quick solution to get liste don your search engines.
However in the long term the most cost-effective advertising would be if the site appears in the main search results. For this the business will have to get their website optimized for search engines. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) can be quite a long process however.
Well that’s my summary on the state of the internet and particularly small businesses using the internet.
Well it’s been a while since I last posted. I’ve been really really busy. In the past few months I’m been very involved in a few web developement projects. I recently launched http://www.taxwest.com.au and have started a forum on Bollywood Blitz . I am also in the process of getting another site developed which will be completed very soon. It’s a big site and I’m very excited about it.
In case you didn’t already know I recently started a proper developement business named Weborbit the website is at http://www.weborbit.com.au/ and you can see a list of some of my better sites at http://www.weborbit.com.au/porfolio.htm . After designing sites for over 5 years I have finally started this and will start actively promoting it very soon. If you need a website done let me know

actually Ozzie losing against Italy is what inspired this.
Hello Everyone
This site’s kinda been off and on for the past 3 years. At one time it was going well but then there was a problem with the server and I lost all the files. But I’m back now and hope to keep the site going.
Reason For This Blog
Most of you who know me are aware that I often have some weird and rather random thoughts. So hopefully I’ll put some down here for others to see (and most probabaly criticise). I’m also going to put down random quotes, news etc. Some of my writing may also be about the internet and technology as I have an interest in that.
I also thought I better get a blog cos everyone seems to have one and I certainly should considering I’ve been making websites for like the past 5 years. yeah its ego muahahahaha
